Kathleen Johnson’s haunting traditional music and tales of Celtic lore have been entertaining audiences for many years. She specializes in tales that include the fantastical, like selkie and fae. With these elements, she seeks themes of resilience and community, tweaking the more prickly orthodox story edges like a bonsai artist and weaving in music that draws the listener into the drama.

She was honored as Best Musical Act at the Minnesota Renaissance festival in 2017 and has been a featured performer at festivals in Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, Iowa, New Hampshire, Colorado, and Maryland, along with many art festivals and the European Christmas Market in Minneapolis. She has been a featured storyteller at Festival of Nations in St Paul, a StoryArts of MN StoryFest stage performer and workshop presenter as well as telling on the International Stage at the Minnesota State Fair.

Kathleen is excited to be in Texas, her new home.
