MICHEAL PRICE BLARNEYDRAGON@YAHOO.COM

A regular since 1995 at the North Texas Irish Festival, Texan Micheal Price brings a wide variety of talents and experiences to the stage. Singer/songwriter, Guitarist, storyteller, Comedian and questionable fashion taste.
Teaming up with guitarist Manfred Blank, Micheal began playing professionally in Augsburg Germany. From 1974 to 1976 the duo played small bars around southern Germany until Micheal left the Army and returned to the U.S.

Back in Texas in late 1976 Micheal teamed up with singer/songwriter David Sparks. After years playing the bars in North Texas as the MAD DOG DUO, they formed the highly successful, Celtic groove band, the Blarney Brothers in 1989. Along with Rodger Harrison, Steve Harrison, Matthew Williams and Randy Christian the bands following grew quickly. Playing the NORTH TEXAS IRISH FESTIVAL IN 1995 gave them their first big break. Playing festivals from Boston to Houston, from Cleveland to Tulsa, the band toured heavily in the Midwest that led to performances at the 2000 and 2001 MILWAUKEE IRISH FESTIVAL. The following years included performances at the Boston Seaport Festival. Two highly acclaimed albums featuring songs by David Sparks, Micheal Price and Rodger Harrison as well as Steven Harrison helped spread the sound that was truly unique.

When the Blarney Brothers separated in 2003, Micheal became a member of the Trinity River Whalers. With David Sparks, A. Kathleen Jackson, Randy Christian, and Marj Troyer the Whalers became a powerhouse band playing a blend of Americana, Celtic, Bluegrass and rock. With original songs from Marj and Micheal their sound was unique and FUN! With several lineup changes over the years the Whalers produced 6 CD’s. The Whalers performed until 2014.

Micheal moved to Saint Cloud Florida in 2015 and started playing bars in Central Florida. His focus was on writing and playing original songs and he found enthusiastic audiences.

Micheal’s show this year will be featuring more new seafaring songs including SCRIMSHAW HEART, KEEPER OF THE LIGHT and WIDOWS WALK
