The Shandon-O’Regan Irish Dance Academy is under the instruction of Kay LaGreca, T.C.R.G. and Maura Anderson, T.C.R.G.  Kay began dancing in Buttevant, County Cork, Ireland at the age of five and has enjoyed numerous successes, including winning the Southern Region Oireachtas and competing at Worlds and Nationals.  At the age of seventeen Kay began tutoring fellow dancers in her school.  She officially started teaching in 1998 and was certified to teach Irish dance at the age of twenty-two. Maura has been dancing since the age of five and has enjoyed numerous successes in Irish dance including multiple World and National qualifications. Maura has been teaching since 1998 when she began to teach along side her sister, Kay. After passing her T.C.R.G. exam and obtaining her certification, Maura opened her own branch of the school in McKinney, TX.

Shandon-O’Regan Irish Dance Academy has enjoyed many successes over the years including regular recalls and qualifications for Worlds at the Southern Region Oireachtas and recalls and placings at the North American Irish Dance Championships (Nationals.) Classes are small to allow students more individual attention and private lessons are available to students already enrolled in a regular class.  Shandon students perform regularly at nursing homes, schools, parades, parties and festivals including international festivals, the Texas State Fair, Scarborough Fair, and the North Texas Irish Festival! We pride ourselves on our family atmosphere as we endeavor to teach our students the love of Irish Dance.
